“Chance or accident is not responsible for the things that happen to you, nor is predestined fate the author of your fortune or misfortune. Your subconscious impressions determine the conditions of your world. The subconscious is not concerned with the truth or falsity of your feeling. It always accepts as true that which you feel to be true.” — Neville Goddard, Feeling is the Secret

The second house is the manifestation of the subconscious.
The Second House is not just about money. It’s about worth, value, and our capacity to materialize and receive.
It’s the part of your chart where your internal reality (your subconscious imprints and self-concept) begins to crystallize into form. It answers questions like:
What do I believe I’m allowed to have?
What do I feel safe receiving?
What is my relationship to stability, pleasure, resources, and care?
When we see the second house through the lens of the whole wheel in astrology, what we see is not just a house system of disconnected parts, but a developmental process that takes us from the Transpersonal and Immaterial to the Personal / Material reality and then, eventually, our experience of the Personal / Material reality through the lens of our home, work, relationships, mythocultural role, and our connection with the divine.
The Second House, ruled by Taurus, is where we first begin to experience subconscious imprints that are housed in the 12th house made manifest into material form.
Fundamentally, our 2nd house reality always begins in the 12th house. Why? The 12th house holds the dream, the subconscious imprints (stories or myths) we receive from our mothers in the pre-birth experience and from caregivers and the collective growing up. These imprints code the way we see the world and what we believe about the way things are, who we are, and what we get to experience in life.
You can think of the 12th house to 2nd house progression like this.
The 12ᵗʰ House
the return to the source, the seeding of subconscious and futures.
↳ rest. reflection. dissolution. the seed of the next cycle stirs.
The 1ˢᵗ House
your self-concept
↳ where the dream takes shape through identity. the mask, the face, the body. who you believe yourself to be.
The 2ⁿᵈ House
manifestation begins
↳ value becomes visible. your relationship to worth, resources, and safety takes physical form. the body responds to physical interpretations of the subconscious.
Ruled by Taurus, the 2nd House invites us into material reality and the body.
It asks us to slow down and notice what we’re actually building with our lives and where the root ideas and materials of our life structures are coming from. If the 1st House is "I am," the 2nd House is "what do I have?" and "what am I building it with?" and it all comes from the 12th House which is all about “what do I subconsciously believe is possible for me?”
Subconscious Templates + Self-Concept
Neville Goddard wrote that “the world and all within it is man’s conditioned consciousness objectified.”
This means that *everything* we see reflected in reality started as a subconscious thought. An internal template. An imaginal seed. Everything from here. Including teapots and microchips and forks and saucers.
The materials of our lived personal realities are not exempt from this phenomenon. Everything we experience in the material world is a reflection of the subconscious.
Our outer life reflects our internal world. Not in a punishment-and-reward way. But in the sense that the stories we’ve internalized—from family, society, past experiences, trauma—become the template for what we believe is possible.
And unless we choose to examine and reweave these subconscious templates, they continue to shape our relationships, our bank accounts, our self-worth, and even our physical experiences of home and belonging.
Think about the phrase: "money doesn’t grow on trees." That one sentence carries a massive somatic charge for so many of us. It lives in our bodies. It colors our expectations. And it’s rarely even ours to begin with. It was inherited.
Yet…we find ourselves subconsciously creating and building from this one idea that usually holds a contractive sensation with it that makes us sober up and hustle hard even when its not necessary to do so.
The Nervous System + Manifestation
It’s in this way (that you may notice) that the subconscious doesn’t judge what’s true or false. Even if an idea about the world has flaws and holes in it and is just down right poverty-stricken in essence, if we feel it be true the subconscious will manifest it. The subconscious will treat the idea as a code and a baseline of truth and will signal to your nervous system to react to life and reality through this baseline code.
This is why healing your relationship with money, love, support, or visibility is rarely just about mindset, your strategy, how much therapy you are getting, or how hard you are working. It’s about listening to your body and your nervous system. It’s about noticing the subtle reactions your body has to the idea of making more money. It’s about noticing the sensations. The inherited codes. The information that is embedded in your being at the somatic level.
For example.
You consciously want a relationship, so you download an app. And even though the person you’re drawn to lights you up, they prove over and over again that they are not compatible with your desires for true safety and devotion in relationship.
In spiritual spaces, we call this karmic relationships. And if you know anything about “karma” is the experience that happens when you are experiencing a reality / set of circumstances you’ve experienced before but “haven’t learned the lessons of”.
Because what your nervous system is responding to is not only a familiar trauma pattern, but a belief that you hold in your subconscious that perhaps you are not worth loving or that there is no such thing as a truly safe relationship where you can be seen in your imperfections and loved without being shamed.
So, it’s in this way that that "yes" in your body, might actually be an old subconscious template that your nervous system is running on—literally scanning your reality for proof that what you believe at the subconscious level is true (that you are not worth loving or that truly safe relationships don’t exist).
When this happens, we don’t shame the body for experiencing the same templates over and over again. Instead, we get curious. We bring reverence to our understanding of the self-generating systems of the body and the subconscious. And then we start laying down new stories and claiming new potentials for ourselves.
This is what the relationship between 2nd House and the 12th house teaches us.
And this is exactly what we’re exploring inside of our upcoming programming inside of Storywork Studio.
If you want to shift the results you’re receiving in your physical life—your revenue, your home, your relationships—you need to meet the templates that are running in the background.
This is the work we’re doing in:
→ Weavers I, our three-month manifestation cohort beginning May 4. This round is focused on the reality mechanics of calling in personal transformation—through body, nervous system, and subconscious re-patterning.
→ The Second House Workshop, a free two-hour workshop on May 29. This is for entrepreneurs and visionaries who want to explore pricing, value, and embodiment in their business. It's a space to reflect, recalibrate, and reimagine your relationship with what you allow yourself to receive.
We hope you’ll join us.
See you soon,
Daje Aloh
